MY Computer restart when loading Ubuntu live CD,How to solve?

put the disc into the cd rom and then switch off the pc and restart it and it should say press any key to boot from disc and press any key, you must have your bios set to boot from the cd rom first

I haven’t used Ubuntu but I can try to help. Sounds like the default kernel the cd is trying to load is not compatible with your pc. Sometimes the default kernel on those live cds is a 32 bit kernel, looks like you got a 64 bit cpu, also is your hard drive scsi or ati…? Sometimes the live cds have an option to choose a kernel before it loads or pass special parameters to it. For example a live cd am using call slax, right before the kernel boots i press F1 and a menu comes up with all the different parameters i can pass to the kernel, see if that cd has something like that, and see what parameters/ kernels apply to your cpu. If your not sure try going to their web site for help. Also if downloaded the cd as an iso image and burn it, sometimes those are downloaded with errors. I hope this helped!
