How to reduce number of kernels in GRUB?

There is also a GUI method of doing this. Go to Synaptic and search for Startup Manager. This gives you complete control over your boot menu without having to edit config files. Not that learning how to edit those files is a bad thing but sometimes I just like to do things in a hurry.
