How to reset the password on Windows XP?
Boot computer into safemode (doesn’t require password)
Click Start, then Run
Type: control userpasswords2
Choose the account
Change the password
Click Start, then Run
Type: control userpasswords2
Choose the account
Change the password
Safemode: hit F8 repeatedly as the computer begins to boot to enter boot screen, choose safemode.
