How do i copy music from audio tape to computer with Windows XP?

you can use Windows Sound Recorder but before that you must connect your tape player to PC,make or buy an audio cable with two headphone jack at both ends (in most cases) connect one end to your “phones” output of your player and another side to “line in” of PC then open windows volume mixer and go to recording section and choose “line in” as source.
now you can play your tape and record it by sound recorder but for any further edit like noise reduction or …. you need another software that is not free also for conversion to MP3 or any other file format.
