How to protect a picture I want to put on my hotmail so others can’t copy it?

I don’t believe it is possible to stop someone copying an image from the web. Ther browser has to download it to display it one screen. At that point they have the image.

What you can do is protect yourself against image theft by:
• Resizing the image so that it is only as big as it needs to be. (you hold onto the larger original file)
• Adding visible copyright details to the image so that people know it’s yours.
• If the image is a jpeg, add copyright details to the EXIF header so that if the image is passed on unaltered, you can prove you have copyright.
• Adding a digital watermark so that your details are invisibly embedded in the image.
